The difference between veteran and novice!
Apr 19, 2021
We can tell whether a rider is an old bird from his attention to car selection and maintenance.
Car selection
They pay more attention to car selection, pay more attention to body configuration and riding experience, and finally the appearance. Determine the budget, determine the brand, and then go to the store to test ride and compare the three cars, so as to consider whether to start or not.
maintain
After riding a certain number of kilometers, you can maintain it yourself at home. Usually, the greatest fun is to clean the car, clean every corner, and maintain the chain by the way.
What's the difference between an old bird and a novice?
First, let's take car selection and maintenance as an example. When choosing a car, novices first look at the appearance and whether the car is handsome, which is important. They don't pay much attention to the body configuration. Generally, when they buy a car, they feel it's difficult to ride it when they are excited; Novices don't know much about their cars. They can only ride to the store for maintenance and spend more money on crafts, but slowly, they will also study their own cars.
In addition to the above, there are many differences between the two, such as in some technologies and plans——
Climbing
Veteran: usually designated climbing training, challenge climbing long and steep slopes, and use correct climbing skills. Climbing is very easy, and the sense of achievement of successfully climbing the top is really addictive.
Novice: it took nine cattle and two tigers to finally climb to the top. The posture was deformed and climbed to the sky and the earth. My heart beats faster and my muscles ache. I don't want to climb again next time.
Turning
Veteran: observe the road section before turning. There is no retrograde car and no gravel. It is done at one go. It looks very smooth as a whole. When it is wet or slippery on the ground, adjust the speed before entering the curve, release the brake, prevent the tyre from running on the smooth surface, press the brake, and let the tyre lose grip and slip.
Novice: there's a bend ahead. Just turn the tap? The speed is a little fast. I brake quickly. I'm about to enter the corner. I'm a little nervous, but I passed the corner safely, and I still feel some skills.
Riding in rainy days
Veteran: watch the weather forecast in advance, change equipment when it rains, avoid zebra crossings, double white lines, manhole covers, ponding and potholes that are easy to cause slipping, maintain a longer safe distance with your companions, increase the braking buffer time and protect your own safety.
Novice: unexpectedly, it rained today. It was so cool that I finally found a place to hide. The road was easy to slip. Fortunately, I didn't fall off the car.
Cycling tour
Veteran: go out and do your homework, bring the necessary things, stop to take photos when you see good scenery, take a rest and recover your strength. You can solve small problems in the car and continue on the road.
Novice: I went out happily and rode for several hours. I found that it was very tired to ride for a long distance. Many things I brought were useless. If there were any problems on the road, I had to ask for help.
Equipment and potential safety hazards
Veteran: check the car, make sure there are no potential safety hazards on the road, wear a helmet, warm up and start!
Novice: as soon as I got the car, I couldn't wait to ride it. I didn't have the consciousness of wearing a helmet. When I rode, I even played with my mobile phone and called while riding.
Whether experienced or novice, we should know that the pyramid is not built in one day, and the Great Wall is not repaired in one day. Cycling is from novice to expert. Therefore, if you are a new comer, practice more, gain experience and become an old hand as soon as possible.
